‘Who would hand his son a stone when he asked for bread?’
The Lord increased my soul, on the morning of my distress as I tried to wake. I called out, and the Lord heard. When I asked for the day to end, when I only wanted to mourn, I am at your mercy. I ask for a stone and you gave me bread. To the Lord comes venom, to the Lord, hatred and anger.
Lord you are glorified by my ignorance. In my despair, Glory! In my silence and tears, Glory! Do not listen when we curse you; let us hear your laughter in the world.
